The Friends AGM took place on the above date, our Chair thanked the committee for their work over last year and I am happy to say the committee was re-elected for one more year. In turn the committee thanked Anne for her splendid efforts over the last year and re-elected her as Chair and Vicki as Secretary for one more term. Thanks also given to Harry Howarth who is standing down as Treasurer after two years of good work for The Friends.
Cathryne Lobley was elected as our new Treasurer a role that will run alongside that of Membership Secretary,,,Thanks Cathryne
Following the meeting Mr Peter Copestake of Pendle Movie Makers presented a film of the now demolished East Lancashire Towel Company showing the production of towels in Britain’s last towel weaving mill. We also saw the film of the Heritage Centre’s 18th century walled garden. Many thanks to Peter and Daphne for their efforts and support they have given the Friends over the years
The Committee will meet soon to plan future events which will appear on our events page as soon as dates are available.
